Today was one of those days where the heat came, storms built, and then they went everywhere but here. They literally came within a mile or two and would split the ridge and pass to the north or to the south, leaving us with nothing more than a sprinkle. It happened around noon, then again around four, and once again around eight. We need the rain, our garden needs the rain, but, we just can't catch a break.
This evening we met the owners of the new feed store here in Centerville, their prices are lower, and the feed a higher quality, another bonus, it's just 3 miles down the road. These are also the people who happen to get a flat on their horse drawn carriage at 2 am in front of our house about a month ago.
Brandi began pulling the potatoes out of the ground, and with half a row she pulled 22 pounds, so we still have 7.5 rows to go, like I said in earlier blogs, we have a lot of potatoes.
The new piglets are adjusting, and already starting to let us handle them. They also LOVE Daisy's.
As always, thank you for reading our blog, and supporting our family farm.
