So Bailey and the other kids love going to the Deanna Rose Farmstead in Overland Park, so for her birthday outing,(we waited til this week because last week was so hot) we went there. Of course the only difference between our house and there is they have cows, and 10,000 people. But the kids enjoyed it all the same.
I've come across an opportunity to purchase several hogs and a very good price, but I have to do so within the next few days, and I will not purchase them, if I cannot presale them. So, I'm offering a 150-200 dollar savings on whole hogs, halves are not available for this deal.
$425 for a whole hog which includes processing, curing is an additional $75.00. so compared to the price on my last ones this is a very good deal, because processing is usually not included, and can cost anywhere from 150-225 bucks.
Same guidelines stand, half is due up front, and the other half will be due the last week of November to the first week of December for a mid December delivery date. The person only has 9 and is giving me a special price if I take all 9. So please act fast as I only have until Sunday to tell her if I want them or not. I have two interested and one for sure, so that leaves 6 remaining.
Other than that, we didn't do much on the farm today as we were gone most of the day. We did get our car back from the mechanic shop, and the new one we just bought, the bank after a week backed out on the loan because my employer ( who I am not working at due to an injury that occurred there) told the banker that I was terminated last August, and am not returning. How could I have gotten fired in August, but was injured in September and worked through November (according to their attorney)? I'm just as baffled as you are. So, by them doing so, I have to now retag the vehicle we traded in, pay for a windshield that they replaced, and again look for another vehicle. Just a headache, that's all.
I'd like to thank Abby Lugo for her purchase of 2 hens and 3 dozen eggs today. We greatly appreciate he business.
As always thank you for reading and supporting our family farm.
