It seems that the heat isn't the only thing going up. Our luck has changed for the better, well kinda.
Yesterday I drove to the city, for a few meetings, and leaving southern Miami county, I noticed the car acted strange, but ignored it and went about my business.
Today I ran the diagnostic tool, and read the code and then checked it on Google and witha local mechanic, turns out the timing chain is going bad, or bad already, however, you want to look at it.
This is my wife's car, so getting her to part with it has been a challenge, but, it doesn't fit all of us, and with the other being in the shop ( when they pick it up) for who knows how long, I had to talk her into getting something different. After a few hours of looking, I found one and contacted the dealer, and will pick it up tomorrow.
Spending thousands may not sound like good luck, but in the end its better for us.
The heat in the Midwest is more like the weather in July, as most of you know. We've had more 90+ days than normal temps of lower to mid 80s. The plants are taking a beating, but still starting to produce, the chickens are maintaining just under 3 dozen a day, and the chicks are starting to get curious.
Nothing much to report on, or actually write about, I will start digging into some things and work on a more in-depth piece with in the next few days.
As always thank you for reading and supporting our family farm.
