First, my apologies for not writing the past few days, between the cars having issues and running non-stop around here, just lost track of time.
As I wrote early Saturday morning, we had quite the adventure Friday, the rear end was fixed Saturday, and the engine will be replaced next Monday. Then we have to buy tires for both vehicles.
Yesterday we sold our pretty little hog tenderloin, she will be kept to breed and not be eaten, and we will get our hogs from her litters. We also sold our last goat Tigger, as he would be happier with his sister's Winnie and Ginnie that were sold to the same lady a few weeks ago.
Today I spent the day running errands, and taking a sick little boy to the doctor, he kept Brandi up most of the night, so this morning I called and got him in. Poor guy has strep, and had spent most of the day sleeping, he even fell asleep while riding on the mower with me as I was mowing the grass.
Today we brushed the sheep and Bailey seemed to enjoy brushing Gwynny, as they were both climbing all over one another.
Our garden is growing wonderfully, the pumpkins (110+ of them) seem to be flowering, the cucumbers, watermelon canteloupe as well. The potatoes and tomatoes seem well, however, I believe we've lost the onions, due to wheat taking over.
Other than that, not much else to report. I'll post more later on this week. Maybe not daily, but at least every other day.
As always, thank you for reading my blog, and thank you for supporting our family farm.
