I wrote yesterday of our day of bad luck, following a blog I wrote the previous day regarding how to look at life when everything seems to go wrong. So today, I will try to be a little more merry.
After I showered and scrolled Facebook for a few hours and did a little bit of business last night on the website it was just before 3am. I slept I believe until 730 maybe 8, then took the trash, and immediately tore into the rear end of the suburban. Although I am mechanically inclined, when it comes to removing the brakes, and axle, I prefer to have a little more knowledge close at hand. My youngest brother did all the work, and repaired the studs that we're stripped off yesterday by the wheel flying off. Between the hour and a half of driving and the hour at the parts store, the entire job took about eight hours. But it's fixed, now to the shop on Monday to replace the rear main, and after that, we have replaced every major component in the last few months.
The kids played outside most of the day, giving my wife a much needed break to go through the 600 books we have and get them scanned into our library list on the computer. We homeschool our kids for those of you who didn't know.
Now, it is just after 8 pm and the animals are all fed, the kids are outside playing, and my wife is preparing salads for dinner. Today was a day of being busy, but at a much slower pace.
In closing, we have one hog for sale, as a previous sold hog fell through. So if anyone would like to purchase a hog, please email, call, or message me on Facebook. We'd be glad to sell it as a roaster, half or whole.
